Another reason why Feminist Frequency is one of the loves of my life… I bet you’ve never really thought about how creepy the lyrics are to Baby, It’s Cold Outside. Read them! The song is about a man who wants a woman to stay at his house for a while longer. She is hesitant, but he keeps telling her how fucking cold it is outside and how he’ll pour her a drink, but when she asks what’s in the drink, he just says that there are no cabs outside… creepy, right?

I’m no stoner, but I am in favor of the legalization of marijuana. If regulated, it could very well work. Obviously, laws would have to be enacted to prevent driving while high, and the likes, but I do believe that this is a matter which, if taken seriously by the government, could become successful.

In Florida, cohabitation for unmarried couples is illegal. Apparently, the circa 19th- century law is rarely enforced. Although there is a Republican legislator trying to repeal the law, many conservatives (surprise, surprise) want to retain the silly legislation. Go traditional family values!

They can have a baby if they so desire. They are responsible adults. So, chill out, people.
Republicans, shut up about the bus tour. Obama didn’t steal the idea from Palin. That’s pure bullshit; he’s the incumbent candidate for president… of course he wants to talk to people, and share his opinions, and get feedback from the citizens! And, stop complaining that the bus is too “black” and “gloomy” and “funeral-like.” Do you even realize how stupid you sound?

So, who else heard that Abercrombie is willing to pay the “Jersey Shore” characters to refrain from wearing their clothes? As stupid as it sounds, you can’t blame them. Abercrombie wants to uphold their reputation for being a “lifestyle brand” (which, although, is not working out too well for them. That’s right, poor sluts can now be seen with a moose emblazoned upon their chests proudly). Either way, Abercrombie, do whatever the hell you want. Just don’t come crying when your sales fall down the toilet due to your lack of free advertising.

Apparently, 60% of adolescents support torture. This news is groundbreaking. It raises questions as to why. Why do we now feel it is okay to abuse someone for indiscernible reasons? Probably because the media tells us so. They are constantly showing us images of persons being tortured as if it is no big deal. Well, media: it is.
